The Classic Five Golf Courses

Mount Pleasant
In 1956, Arnold Palmer secured his second American tournament win as a touring golfer at this course. It was also home of the Eastern Invitational Open from 1950-1963. Mt. Pleasant is a favorite for players looking for the challenge of a rolling terrain where uneven lies are the norm.

Pine Ridge
Nancy Lopez won her second professional tournament here. Pine Ridge is also the past home of several PGA and LPGA Tournaments, The Eastern Open, Lady Carling Open and Greater Baltimore Golf Classic. Opened in 1956, the scenic water and pine trees of the Loch Raven watershed setting make this course both beautiful and a challenge for golfers of all skills.

Clifton Park
Baltimore's first public golf course, Clifton Park was built in 1915 on the grounds of Johns Hopkins’ summer mansion. Today, the course continues its tradition of providing golfers with unique views of Baltimore's urban landscape as well as a forgiving course layout. Clifton Park continues to be known for the outstanding quality of the putting greens.

Forest Park
Originally a 9-hole facility, Forest Park is now a combination of two styles and challenges. The original course winds through a wooded landscape and tests even the most skilled players with tight fairways, imposing trees and hilly terrain.  The course opens up during the back nine, allowing players to make up a few shots they may have lost on the front nine.

Carroll Park
The perfect place to enjoy a quick round or learn the game, Carroll Park is the closest Classic Five course to downtown Baltimore's convention hotels and business district. With 10 holes, it offers an ideal oasis from meetings, seminars, tradeshows and work.
The beautiful Pine Ridge Driving Range offers the ideal setting for both the casual player and those serious about improving their game.

In 2008, Mount Pleasant Golf Course was ranked 12th best municipal golf course in the United States by Golfweek Magazine.
