Julieta Stack
Teaching pro at Pine Ridge Golf Course.

After more than a decade working in the Washington area and in Europe, Julieta Stack has joined the staff of the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation as a teaching professional at the Pine Ridge Golf Course, effective immediately.

Stack becomes the first LPGA teaching pro in Baltimore City. A Class A member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division since 1996, she was named one of the top 50 Teaching Professionals in America by Golf for Women Magazine in 2001.

“Baltimore has been my home since 2004 and I love it here,” Stack said. “I welcome golfers of any age and background, but I’ve paid special attention to the training of women, beginners, juniors and minority golfers, many of whom have been underserved.”

In addition to the fundamentals of golf, Stack’s teaching combines the traditions of etiquette, sportsmanship, honor, as well as the importance of speed of play and of caring for the course. “These are the things that make golf different and special and among the areas where I would like to have an impact on golf in Baltimore. I am delighted to work on such a beautiful course, and to become a part of the Pine Ridge team. Together we'll grow the game of golf in Baltimore."

Every summer, Stack’s company, InnerDriveGolf.com, which she founded in 1997, takes groups of students to golf in such places as Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales and Canada. A humorous and engaging speaker, she has presented seminars on topics such as “The Mental Game,” “Rules and Etiquette,” and “What Every New Golfer Should Know.” She has been a regular guest on television, which allows her to share her warmth and expertise with a larger public.

Stack has a deep interest in martial arts, which she believes are extraordinarily helpful in building strength, confidence and inner discipline.  For further information, please visit http://www.innerdrivegolf.com/page/page/1907617.htm

Pine Ridge Golf Course Voted Best in Towson,
Maryland by Towson Magazine

When it comes to golf, residents of Baltimore County are recognizing that private isn’t always better.  According to a 2005 reader’s choice poll by Towson Magazine, Pine Ridge Golf Course was voted the best golf course in Towson, Maryland.

Pine Ridge Golf Course was highlighted along with other top-rated businesses in Baltimore County not just for popularity, but also in recognition of quality.

Opened in 1956, Pine Ridge Golf Course is now equipped with a year-round driving range and GPS navigation capabilities.  The course has been the home of several PGA and LPGA Tournaments, the Eastern Open, Lady Carling Open, and the Greater Baltimore Golf Classic.  Pine Ridge is also the location of Hall-of-Fame player Nancy Lopez’s second professional tournament victory.

The course is one of the Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation’s (BMGC) Classic Five Courses.  BMGC is the nation’s first not-for-profit organization dedicated to the management and operation of municipal golf courses. Founded in 1985, BMGC has become a renowned model for municipal golf organizations throughout the United States with its Classic Five golf courses: Mount Pleasant, Pine Ridge, Clifton Park, Forest Park and Carroll Park. Chartered to provide the citizens of Baltimore with quality golfing facilities at affordable prices, BMGC has provided millions of golfers the opportunity to play where legends have played. PGA and LPGA hall-of-fame players, Arnold Palmer, Nancy Lopez and Jim Thorpe began their careers at BMGC’s Classic Five courses and, today, their dedication to the game lives on in BMGC’s proud golfing heritage.
