Overview:
The Baltimore’s Best Putter Contest is a two-day event. Monday, July 12th is the qualifying round that will take place at a selected green at each Classic Five golf course. On Wednesday, July 14th, the finals will take place at Mount Pleasant. There will be two competitive divisions: adult (18+ years of age) and junior (10-17 years of age). At each course, the top three scores, plus ties, in each division will qualify for the finals.
There will be no pre-registration for the event. Contestants are invited to show up at any one of the Classic Five Golf Courses between 3 and 7 p.m. on July 12th to receive their qualifying start time. Starting times will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and contestants will be asked to check-in when they arrive at a golf course. At check-in, contestants will complete and sign an entry form, pay the entry fee if they are an adult. Contestants can enter only once at any one golf course.
The top three qualifiers, plus ties, in each division will play in the finals on July 14th at Mount Pleasant. Contestants who are not on the course will be required to stay in the clubhouse before it is their time to play. If there is a tie for first place, second place or third place, a putt-off will take place. The putt-off will start on the first hole, and will continue until someone wins.
